Step 1: Explore – Discover the Possibilities
Embrace your inner explorer and dive deep into the world of event possibilities. From venue options to guest experiences, let your imagination run wild as you uncover the endless opportunities for your event. Do not think about the cost, what are others doing? What would your event be if it could be the most amazing ever?
Step 2: Vision – Envision Your Dream Event
With your exploration complete, it’s time to envision your dream event. Picture the atmosphere, the interactions, and the overall vibe you want to create. Let your creativity flow as you craft a vision that will captivate your audience. What do you want your attendees to walk away feeling, thinking and remembering?
Step 3: Execute – Bring Your Vision to Life
Now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and bring your vision to life. The vision will be your north star throughout the whole process! Now it’s time to secure vendors, venues and platforms. Write a list of all the logistical things you need to book/ secure and work through them one by one. Keeping track of and being mindful of your budget. Don’t be afraid to push back on venue costs either – haggling is ok!
Step 4: Numbers – Bums on seats
Ticket sales and marketing may not be everyone’s favourite part, but it’s essential for a successful event. Now you have the logistics planned, now is timed to start selling tickets. Remember to make the process as easy for your attendees as possible, as few clicks as possible to purchase a seat. Be everywhere, social media, mailing lists. Reach out to your speakers, sponsors and friends, use referral codes and links to help! An early bird or high value package is great for getting early bookings.
Step 5: Touches – Adding the Finishing Touches
It’s the little details that make an event truly memorable. This is where we add colour, plan the light in the room, the movement of attendees so they travel around the space in an intuitive way.
